Lean in AND learn to love…

As a visual learner, symbols and sketches are life! I’ve always created quick sketches and one-pagers to comprehend and retain information more deeply. Then I discovered “The Tools: Transform Your Problems Into Courage, Confidence, and Creativity.” This book changed me, largely due to the visual representations provided in the text—visual representations dreamed up by the brilliant mind of psychiatrist Phil Stutz. Phil believed that merely having conversations with his clients wasn’t enough. He broke the mold in traditional psychology by providing TOOLS, actionable next steps that naturally led to forward movement.

Want to make a change in your life? Then, you must lean in and learn to love the process. You must make daily decisions to choose, challenge, and live in forward motion.

Every day, we make thousands of choices. Some choices add value to our lives, while others keep us stuck in the same place. If you aim to grow, here’s a little secret: YOU are the only one who can make that happen.

Are you rolling your eyes thinking this all sounds ‘too good to be true?’ I was there; some days, I am still there. AND if you’re like me, you believe that life is a journey. We are doing the best we can with what we have. AND I know that knowledge is power. The more we know, the better we get. Want to know even more? Subscribe below if you would like me to SHOW you how I use this process, the tools we love, and how/when we use them in our family.

  • choose

Often, we know we want to change for the better, but we either lack the physical, emotional, or financial means to access support. I want to share what I’ve learned throughout my career as an educator, neurodivergent mama, and lover of research. When we choose to learn and love the process, we intentionally model vulnerability & continual growth for our families.

  • challenge

Before you can figure out how to best meet YOUR conscious wellness needs, you’ve got to define and align your values. Your goals, your aspirations. Acknowledging and sometimes challenging your core beliefs (often the false narrative you tell yourself) lets you live fully. You can move forward when you articulate your goals and create lifestyle harmony.

  • live (in forward motion)

    1. Choose Yourself: Fully recognize and embrace your self-worth. Make a conscious decision to prioritize your well-being and personal growth.

    2. Clarify Your Values: Reflect deeply to determine, define, or even challenge your core beliefs. Understand what truly matters to you and align your actions accordingly.

    3. Live with Purpose and Joy: Move forward with intentional presence. Cultivate a life filled with joy and purpose, consistently making choices that support YOUR goals and values.

To Be Conscious Is To Be Aware

To Be Conscious Is To Be Aware

When we bring intentional awareness to our habits, which have become routines/rituals, we can reexamine whether they fully align with the life we want to live.

Conscious wellness is a holistic approach to healing and growth. It’s about making choices that align with the life we want to live. Are you sick of brain fog? Emotional eating? Doom scrolling? Task paralysis? Me too. For too long, I believed conscious wellness was out of reach. I was surviving, going through the motions with a smile on my face, making it look ‘easy to the world,’ while my health continued to decline.

When we strive for conscious wellness, we won't be perfect. I am far from perfect. Sometimes, we're less active than we'd like to admit, spend more than we should on things that don't matter, and eat junk to get by. The truth is, we're all doing the best we can with what we have. To create a new, healthier lifestyle, you must become conscious of your current wellness and goals.

As I am learning to be consciously well myself, I figured we could go on this journey together. I feel stronger, healthier, and more like my best self every day. As a connector, I am fortunate to be surrounded by experts in this work—so much more to come!

Adult-first

Adult-first

Science tells us that conscious wellness is an adult-first, child-second practice. We cannot teach what we do not embody ourselves.

This makes perfect sense in theory, but it is incredibly challenging in REAL LIFE! I understand—it's hard for me, every single day! AND I am here to share the practices that have positively impacted me. AND I am here to acknowledge that everyone is different. What works for me might not work for you, and that's okay. I believe that, ultimately, we all share the same goal: to be the best we can be with what we have. The reality is that the only thing we can truly control in any given situation is our response. Regardless, I believe that the more tools we have in our toolbelts when challenges arise, the better prepared we are.

“The ultimate goal is to create something NEW in the face of adversity.” -Phil Stutz
